Here are a few pictures from our day trip to Watkins Glen for our 7th anniversary. It was one month before my due date and I chose to take a one mile hike up the glen (silly)...it was quite a hike with my belly but I made it! We also had a nice dinner and scenic drive along the lake.
We are so excited for Ethan today. He just got his first "big boy" bike! His other bike was more like a big wheel so even with training wheels this is his first "real" bike. He loves riding bikes so even though late in the summer he should get plenty of use before it snows. Thank you Nana and Papa for early birthday money!
Kert and his manly man's lawn mower. Our yard was so big he needed a commercial mower with a wider blade-base and is multi-speed self-propelled (from my understanding). The lawn was taking him over 2 hours to mow it with a standard mower so this should save him some time.
I finally put the finishing touches on Ethan's room. We've only been here for a year and a few months - cut me some slack! Ethan and Nana did the first coat of paint on the stars above his name and the nobs on his dresser and I finished them off. Ethan wanted to "help" but you know how that goes. I'm trying to catch up on the little things before the baby comes because it will be that much longer before I get to them. Next we're on to the big things....moving out stuff, painting and redecorating the den/guest bedroom to make it Makayla's big girl room for her to move into after the baby is born. And there are also other projects we've been wanting to get to that hopefully will get finished before baby.
