The Beach

We went to the beach one day but it was cut a little short because a quick rain storm came up and left about as quickly but we had already packed things up and were ready to leave when the storm passed. We had fun for the time we were there anyway.

Fun in Florida

Family in Florida

In Florida we stayed at a resort with my Mom, my brother Bryan, his wife Holly and my nephew Vincent. We were also able to visit my Aunt Ellie and Uncle Jim who I hadn't seen for several years.

My Birthday

........................In order to afford to go to Florida I used my birthday money to get there. We arrived the day before my birthday and spent the day of my birthday at Disney so here are a few pictures of how we celebrated it otherwise.

Kert and the kids had a balloon bouquet sent to the room and Kert surprised me with the flowers while we were out shopping (and he let Ethan "surprise" me with them when we got back to the room as well). Ethan was so cute. Sometime after Easter he remembered that he didn't get me flowers for Easter and was sad. Then he remembered my birthday and said that he would get me flowers for my birthday. Now with Mother's Day coming up he said I need flowers for that as well (although Kert asked him where he would get the money for them!). It makes a Mommy's heart so happy to know he notices what makes me happy and wants to do that for me!

Disney

We had such a fun time at Disney. It didn't take too long for the kids to get tired out especially from standing in long lines and all the walking. They enjoyed as much as possible for their age though. My Mom went along to help with the kids but especially Ellyse because she couldn't ride on some rides or was napping. We went back to the resort for dinner and my Mom put the kids to bed while Kert and I went back for a few hours until the park closed. It was so nice to do the park without kids (it goes much faster) plus we had shorter lines later in the evening. What boggled my mind was that with as much as Elly naps at home she could hardly sleep at Disney and didn't get grumpy. She was so good for us!

Easter 2010

We celebrated Easter by going to the Easter service at church and reflecting on the life, death and ressurection of Jesus. I love how Ethan knows why we celebrate Easter even though we do other extra stuff for the fun of it. He doesn't fully understand the impact of it all but do any of us really grasp it completely?
